Text message invitations
OutHere sends two kinds of text: a hangout invitation and a find-a-time request for that same hangout. A first invitation may arrive because a friend personally selected your number from their own contacts; automated texts from our registered number are sent only if you opt in yourself. You opt in on an OutHere invite page: after verifying your phone number with a one-time passcode, you can check an optional box, unchecked by default, agreeing to receive recurring automated text messages from OutHere when friends invite you to hangouts. Message frequency varies: at most one text per person per hangout for each kind, and no more than one text every 30 minutes to a number from any one sender. No marketing or promotional messages, ever. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any OutHere text to opt out of all future messages, START to opt back in, or HELP for assistance; after you reply STOP we send one confirmation message and nothing further. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of any purchase or of using OutHere. Your consent applies only to OutHere text invitations and is never transferred or assigned to any other business, including any company that might acquire us. You confirm the number you verify is your own, and if you give the number up, please reply STOP first or tell us so texts never reach a stranger. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your responsibilities when inviting by text
Before OutHere will send any text invitation, you must confirm the attestation shown on the send screen: that you have a direct personal relationship with each contact you selected and their permission to be invited by text. You may invite only people you personally know, using contacts from your own address book. You may not use purchased, rented, scraped, or otherwise third-party lists, and you may not invite anyone who has asked you not to contact them. Accounts that send unwanted invitations may be suspended or removed.
