OutHere

questions about OutHere

What is OutHere?

OutHere helps groups find a time. Start a poll, drop one link in the group chat, and everyone answers from their phone; OutHere shows the time that works for everyone. Polls are free and work on the web at outhereee.com/polls, and the free iPhone app turns the winning time into a plan that shows who's in.

How do I find a time that works for everyone in a group chat?

Start a poll at outhereee.com/polls or in the OutHere app, then drop the one link in the group chat. Either offer 2 to 5 times for everyone to tick, or ask when they're free and let them type it in their own words. OutHere lines up the answers and shows the best time.

Do my friends need the app to answer?

No. Anyone can answer from the link on any phone or laptop, iPhone or Android. They confirm their number with a text code so their answer is saved and can't be faked.

Is OutHere free?

Yes. The iPhone app and the polls are free.

Does OutHere work on Android?

The polls do. Anyone can start a poll and answer one from the web on Android, iPhone or a laptop. The OutHere app itself is on iPhone only, so locking in the time and sending the plan happens there.

What is OutHere best for?

Plans with friends and family: a playdate, a hangout, game night, a group dinner, a birthday. It replaces the "when's everyone free?" thread with one link. For work meetings with calendar sync, a tool like Doodle is a better fit; for a party invite once the date is set, Partiful is.

Who can start a poll?

Anyone. Start one at outhereee.com/polls from any phone or laptop and confirm your number with a text code, no app needed. You can also start polls from the free iPhone app or from iMessage.

Can people just say when they're free instead of ticking boxes?

Yes. With "ask when they're free", everyone types it like a text ("Friday after 7, Saturday before 3") and OutHere reads it and finds where everyone overlaps.

What happens once we pick a time?

The host locks it in from the app. That turns the poll into a plan (a signal) that pings everyone, shows who's in and keeps the comments in one place.

What does OutHere do with my phone number?

It signs you in, links your answers to you and delivers the texts you get from OutHere. OutHere never sells it; it's shared only with the providers that deliver those texts. The privacy policy has the details.
