terms of service

the deal
OutHere lets you broadcast what you're up to (a signal) to friends you choose, so they can pull up. by creating an account or using the app you agree to these terms. if you don't agree, don't use OutHere.
your account
you need a real phone number to sign up, and your account is yours alone. keep it honest: use your own name or a username people know you by, and don't impersonate anyone. you're responsible for what happens on your account. you must be at least 13 to use OutHere.
your content
what you post (signals, comments, your profile) belongs to you. you give OutHere permission to store it and show it to the friends you send it to, which is the whole point of the app. don't post anything illegal, hateful, or harmful.
be decent
no harassment, spam, threats, or creepy behavior. OutHere is for making plans with friends, not for making anyone uncomfortable. we can warn, suspend, or remove accounts that ruin it for everyone else.
how signals work
a signal goes only to the friends and lists you pick, and it expires on its own after about 12 hours. friends can reply, comment, and see who else is in. once something is shared, the people you sent it to can see it, so share thoughtfully.
text invites
when a friend invites you by text, the message comes from OutHere on their behalf, only because they picked your number from their own contacts. at most one text per hangout per person, never marketing. reply STOP to any OutHere text to opt out of all future texts, or reply HELP for help. message and data rates may apply.
the service
OutHere is provided as is. we work hard to keep it running, but we can't promise it will always be available, bug free, or that a signal will always arrive instantly. features may change, be added, or be removed as the app grows.
ending things
you can stop using OutHere anytime. if you want your account and data deleted, contact us and we'll take care of it. we can also close accounts that break these terms.
changes
as OutHere grows these terms may change. if we make meaningful changes we'll let you know in the app, and continuing to use OutHere after that means you accept the updated terms.
